At Topsail Outdoor Living, our hardscape work transforms underused outdoor areas into the part of your property you can actually live in. We’ve been designing and installing hardscapes across the Surf City and Topsail Beach areas since 2012. Every project starts with understanding how you want to use the space and ends with a finished product that integrates seamlessly with your home and landscape.

We design custom outdoor kitchens built around how you cook and entertain, incorporating grills, countertops, storage, refrigeration, and lighting into a cohesive outdoor cooking environment. What materials do you use for patios and walkways?

We work with concrete pavers, natural stone, brick, and poured concrete, depending on your style preferences, budget, and the space's functional needs. For coastal properties, we pay particular attention to selecting materials that handle exposure to salt air, moisture, and temperature variation. We’ll walk you through the options and help you select what makes sense for your project.

Can you build a retaining wall that also looks good?

That’s one of our specialties. A retaining wall does not have to look like a functional afterthought. We design them as part of the overall landscape plan, so they contribute to the property's aesthetic while addressing the practical problem they are meant to solve. We use materials that complement the rest of your landscape and offer lasting performance.

What is typically included in an outdoor kitchen build?

It depends on what you want, and that’s the point. We’ve built outdoor kitchens ranging from a simple grill counter with storage to full cooking stations with built-in grills, refrigerators, prep space, outlets, and overhead structures. We start by understanding how you cook and entertain, then design an outdoor kitchen that matches that lifestyle. We handle design, material selection, and full installation.
